Diploma in Registered Nursing

Our program was designed to help you develop into a confident and capable nurse. You’ll learn to look beyond an illness in isolation and focus on a person’s well being as a whole.

By the end of your diploma you will be equipped with all the skills necessary to be an outstanding health professional. You have the nursing knowledge to understand and analyse a patient’s needs and the confidence and experience to give them the best care possible. You’re the support they really need.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAM

This programme is a three year training programme and prepares the students to work in various health care settings. The students receive a Diploma at the end of training examined by the General Nursing Council of Zambia.

MODE OF STUDY

Two (2) options are available under this programme as follows:

• Regular training: Traditionally the students under this option have longer face to face classroom interactions with lecturers with periods of 6-10 weeks. The intakes for this option are January and July every year.
• E-Learning training: This is a distance learning programme with shorter face to face classroom interactions with lecturers of 2 to 8 weeks. The students have self-directed learning periods of 3 to 5 weeks. The intakes for this option are January and July every year.
